It has been a very busy few weeks since our last update--we had Wes' parents here for a few days and then we headed back to Ohio for 5 days to see my Mom and James, my Dad, Grandma W, and Aunt Jesse! The Ohio shuffle lives on! We arrived back there on Thursday afternoon--Seanna once again did really well on a VERY packed flight and the Baby Einstein video definitely saved the day. We stayed at Mom and James' house on Thurs and Fri --they were so sweet to have all of the "Seanna's" stuff ready for her arrival at their home. She had a pack and play, her own bedroom, diapers, food, formula and even her own ducky tub (see the photo). On Friday afternoon, we all went out for a walk in the neighborhood and then had a sign-along in the family room. On Saturday, we had breakfast with Grandma Weisbrod (Getta and Eggs!) and Dad. Seanna managed to spit up on Grandma's very new red sofa--we had a heck of a time trying to get the formula stain out. Note to self, don't feed her on Grandma's new couch again!

Saturday evening, Seanna went to Aunt Jesse's while we went to a wedding of one of my high school friends. She had a ton of fun and was able to climb on the three big dogs that Jesse had at her house--unfortunately, she still thinks Axel will let her thump his tail too, but he's not having any part of that!

Sunday we went back to Mom and James' house and had a nice night watching NCAA basketball and Brooke (my sister) actually had another color comentatory part of that game at LSU that we were able to watch.
Seanna managed to get her top eye tooth in while we were back there and is now working on several other top teeth as well. She has learned alot of new tricks that she is very proud to show off to everyone! She has learned how to open cabinets doors in the kitchen, and also how to unroll the toilet paper roll, she has learned how to "fake" cry when she doesn't want her diaper changed and is increasing her vocal level every day to make sure that we hear her loud and clear. She has also linked together "Hi Dada" and is learning to wave. We have finished music class for this second round, but we are still going to the tumble center. This past weekend we went to Zoomar's, which is a petting zoo in San Juan Capistrano and Seanna was able to feed the bunnies, ostriches, birds, tortoise, see the horses, goats and a cow. She loves birds the most though (and dogs of course). She is still growing like a weed and is wearing a size 3 shoe already and her 18 month clothes are fitting properly now, so I'm sure they won't last too long. That's about all the updates for now...

Hope everyone is doing well!
Love, Us

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Seanna is doing wonderfully and growing and growing each day. She now wears 18 month clothes and is probably close to 23 lbs. She can easily say mama, dada and hi and is working on some other words of her own. She also is starting to balance herself for a few seconds without any hands and is also able to go back down the step from the kitchen to the family room now. She still loves messing with Axel and pulling Spanish moss from my pots. The top tooth has made an appearance, but it's the second one from the right center--how strange!

The funniest story from last week is after I had my doctor's appt on Tuesday, Wes took us to lunch at Ruby's Diner. Seanna is able to sit in a restaurant high chair and so I fed her her lunch and then she decided that she was still hungry. She ate an entire 1/2 of a dinner roll and more little "puffys" the little melt in your mouth sweet potato flavors--Wes and I laughed so hard! She DEFINITELY loves white bread and anything with starch!!! We also figured out a way to get her to eat her green veggies as I mix it up in the turkey dinner solids or the sweet potatoes and she LOVES it.

We had music class today on St Patrick's Day and thought you might enjoy some of the photos. The lady playing the guitar is the instructor Ms Elena--can you tell Seanna LOVES to watch her? :)

It has been a VERY long two weeks with Seanna--she has been an absolute handful and most of reason I haven't been able to update the blog or get anything else done for that matter :)... she is into ABSOLUTELY everything and can move so quickly you better not blink or she will be getting herself into trouble doing something. She's so smart that when I block her off from one obstacle, she will either go under, over or sometimes through the barrier in order to get what she has set her mind on accomplishing. It's unbelievable to watch her little mind work and see how she figures things out. Two days ago, she was chewing on my finger while I was carrying her and finally I felt the top tooth breaking through. It's been working it's way through the gums for weeks now and it's finally going to make an appearance. We've continued to attend music class and have also joined a tumble center so she is enjoying that as well. She absolutely loves bubbles and believe it or not was able to scale the rock wall with some added incentive and me coaching her from above as to which rock to grab next. It was pretty cool. She is still growing daily and is now wearing 18 month clothes. She can now say "da da" and is created her own vocabulary where she is carrying on a conversation with herself. Her very favorite activity though--chase Axel around the house. She absolutely screams whenever she sees him and the poor dog doesn't know what end is up. It's quite funny to watch. Here are a few photos when she was playing in my office yesterday while I was trying to pay some bills.

Enjoy the weekend!

Lots to catch up on...

Last week was a bit of a blur as I was the first one to become sick, follwed by Seanna (with her very first cold, fever, ear infection etc), Wes and then Axel. It was more like the television show MASH around here than Valentines day, but at least everyone is back to being healthy again this week.

Instead of celebrating last weekend, we postponed to this weekend... Wes and I had our first "Gourmet Night" with some other couples from the Mom's Club that I joined and we had a fabulous Italian Dinner and conversation and were actually out until almost 10:30. As of lately, Wes and I both can barely make it until 8pm before we are sound asleep as Seanna is up at 5:30am on the dot! The good part of that is she also wants to go to bed at 5:30pm each evening--she will actually pull on my pant leg and asks me to put her to bed. I swear she has an alarm clock in her head!!

Today, we celebrated our non-sick Sunday together by taking Axel to the dog park in Irvine (Seanna LOVED the Dog Park and it was Great Dane Day so there were tons of them running around and she was in awe watching them play) and then we headed to the Irvine Zoo. It's a small little zoo that was absolutely the perfect size for Ms Seanna's first zoo outing. We have a few photos from the day and wish all of you a Happy Sunday as well!

Standing Up, Crawling Up Steps and Upper Teeth

As so many people have said, things come in threes and Seanna seems to be following this rule of thumb closely this week. Late last week, she started climbing our stairs, and as of yesterday, she is now able to pull herself up into a standing position and balance there for quite a long time. We can't actually believe that in the morning she could not master this feat at all and by the afternoon she had repeated the same motion probably 30 times in various locations around the family room! She is now officially into everything... and has discovered a whole new world at that level. Tonight she located the drapes in the family room and the fake tree leaves make a great sound when she pulls on them and the spanish moss actually comes out of the pot! I'm also pretty sure that her top teeth should be coming in any day. She wakes up screaming the last several nights around 2 or 3am. Her fist is constantly in her mouth and we are having more challenges with her drinking her bottles again. Hopefully these top teeth won't torture her too much longer.

On Saturday Morning, I woke up to Wes bringing Seanna in our room at 6am before he fed her(unfortunately, I didn't sleep very well the night before so I was still a little groggy) so he was taking over the morning duties for me. All of the sudden, Seanna's face lights up and she says "HI!" and Wes and I got a huge chuckle out of this as did she! Now, that is her second vocabulary word--we are still working on Dada so hopefully that one comes soon. She also decided this morning that she was going to learn how to crawl up the steps from the family room into the kitchen. When I came home from the gym, Wes said "you are not going to believe what she did" and sure enough, she has already mastered the task 4 other times today. She scoots all around the hardwood floor in the kitchen and is attempting to open every cabinet we have--babyproofer is on the way to lock them all!! We had a pretty quite weekend overall, we did go out to feed the ducks on Saturday and Sunday we went to a Superbowl Party for a short time (Seanna isn't really big on loud nosies so when the Steelers intercepted and ran the ball back for a touchdown--that was the end of the party for us!! :) Looks like it might rain again this weekned so we have a few play dates lined up so far and should have fun come rain or shine. Enjoy the week...

18 lbs-Really??!!

I was finally able to get a shot of Seanna's two bottom teeth and last night, she was screaming at midnight as her upper ones are also starting to break through! All things considered she is doing really well with as much pain as the teeth are causing her. We try to manage it with the Highland Teething Tablets, Orajel and Motrin in the evening before she goes to sleep. Soon, she will look like a whole new little person once those top ones arrive and we will make sure to get some great new shots for everyone... She also had her 6 month doctor appt on Thursday of last week and measured in at 27 inches long, and weighs 18.6 lbs! The doctor's office decided to start taking bets as to when she will be taller than I am!! On a side note, Wes met Dora Torres last week, and had his photo taken with her during the National Sales Meeting in Orlando, so we are going to frame the photo and put it in her room with the caption "Daddy and Dora". Wes has given Seanna the loving nickname "flipper" because her feet are growing so quickly that he swears that she will be a swimmer and use her feet to her advantage. She is also a SUPER fast crawler now and has decided to move to the next stage of pulling herself up on things (or at least pulling the object down to her level). She is also saying "mama" clearly and eating solids on the Level 3 baby food now. The doctor was very excited about how well she is developing and also mentioned that Seanna will probably be walking around 9 months. You go girl!!!!!!!!!!!
