Perfect 1st Father's Day

We had a wonderful day today and spent it together as a family! We woke up early and made Wes "Daddy Cake" pancakes with blueberries--they were DELICIOUS. We then took Axel to the dog park and went to lunch locally. In the afternoon, we decided to "break in" the pool and go swimming for the first time this year... Seanna is such a water bug and we have a hard time getting her out of it these days. She demands nightly baths too (even though she showers in the morning already) and loves to stick her head under the faucet and has learned to blow bubbles in the water! Swim lessons are definitely in our very near future... Wes' birthday is this week and then followed by Seanna's very big 1st one! I can hardly see straight with how quickly these last few weeks have gone by already. I have asked my family to create a "Memory Box" for Seanna, which will be no larger than a shoe box, but will contain special notes, poems, photos, small gifts for her to always remember and review later on from close family and friends. We would love it if her birth family members would create some items to place in the box too. No pressing deadline to get them to us, as I can always have Wes swing by and pick them up at the hospital when it is convenient.

Hope all is well and your enjoying summer!

Love,

Heather

Seanna took two steps yesterday--YEAH! She has been working on balance ever since we returned from Charleston. Now, she constantly wants to stand and "walk" along the furniture too! Yesterday morning, she and I were upstairs and I held out my hands and coached her to walk to me and she did!! I was so incredibly proud of her...

She has also figured out how to open all doors, drawers and turn on the faucets. Needless to say it's an endless chase to keep up with her all day and she has also started only taking one nap a day. She must think that she is a big girl now that she is almost one years old!!

Here are few photos that I'm going to try to post before she wakes up. Hugs to all...
