Finally an update--sorry!

Wes and I have been going about 100mph the last few weeks --we were in Pismo Beach, followed by La Jolla for a work function, followed by a visit from his parents, followed by a trip to Charleston South Carolina with my family for a family vacation! Whew--it's crazy just to think of that schedule! We really enjoyed ourselves in South Carolina and Seanna had a blast with all of her aunts, uncles and grandparents! There are cousins on the way too so she will have some others to play with next time...

She is doing wonderfully well and is getting so big! Her front teeth finally came in while we were out of town (they are about 1/2 way in right now). She can balance herself for a few minutes if she is distracted, but refuses to walk because she is such an incredibly fast crawler that she gets frustrated by the pace of walking! She is eating so well that I can't believe it--she loves blueberries, strawberries and broccoli too. While we were in South Carolina she ate grits and loved them as well. She drinks a ton of water and can drink from her sippy cup on her own as well as bottled water and can drink from a straw. She has learned to say "no" and also "uh oh" as well as she chatters constantly when we are in public! She can wave and say "hi" at the same time and people absolutely melt when she does it. She is still around 20lbs, which is 80% for her age and is off the charts for her height. She is happy 99% of the time, but is also figuring out how to throw a few tantrums and is beginning to show signs of stranger anxiety as well as seperation anxiety. We are still going to music class every week and she loves it! She sings "la la la" during some of the songs and loves to bounce and clap her hands during the class.

We hope you are all doing well too!

Mother's Day

We had a wonderful Mother's Day today as we celebrated a very simple day in Laguna and had a picnic. Seanna is doing wonderfully these days and we've been so super busy the last few weeks my post is long over due. We went to Pismo Beach a few weeks ago and Seanna was able to meet the last set of Grandparents that she hasn't been able to meet yet (they are not able to travel very far and we have not been able to go up there until now). We had a wonderful visit and Seanna tried waffles for the first time and has been eating only "adult" food ever since. She is refusing any baby food at all for any meals, but eats anything that we put in front of her. She LOVES strawberries and broccoli and especially turkey meat!! Not a big fan of pasta yet, but she is definitely a carb girl and LOVES her bread... She is getting close to walking and is saying HEY, waving and knows bye, bye now. She is becoming VERY aware of strangers and is close to getting more teeth (although no new ones have arrived yet). We also went to San Diego for a work function last weekend and Seanna came down with a touch of the flu, but still loved the beach and thought the little cabin that we were in was so cool because she could see mommy and daddy from everywhere in the place. Both Wes and I caught the flu immediately following and I caught the worst of it. Thank goodness that we only had it a short time, because it was horrible!!! This weekend it was SUPER quite at home and we were very thankful for that. Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day too and we are so thankful to have you and Seanna in our lives.

Love to all,

Wes, Heather and Seanna
